Best budget camera within this range..kit lenses are quite good too. But, if you are looking for professional and sharp quality photos you have to buy lenses which are quite costly. This camera is perfect for starters. Battery liye is good and dual autofocus gives real magic to the video.

I’m a total DLSR newbie, but so far so good! There are lots of support videos available on youtube etc to support newbies understand photographic terms, but this camera is pretty easy to use as it almost has a photography “for dummies” screen. Had a bit of trouble syncing the wifi with my ipad (range canon & they were useless), but have since worked it out. I’ve only scratched the surface on what it can do, & have already purchased a macro lens. I got a huge discount on the RRP buying this camera from Amazon Australia, with really quick delivery & also got an excellent price for the macro lens on Amazon Au (no other outlet could match it).

Seriously guys if you are like me who is struggling between a canon 200d vs any other dslr hopefully this review will help you

I took 200d vs Nikon 5300 here below are the things I looked at
    1) Product is launched in 2017, as the body is main and loaded with touch screen capability
    2) it’s touch screen and wifi connectivity with your mobile is another option if you want take pics of your baby along with yourself rather than a timer which is not helpful if your subject is a baby
    3) the only things that lags in canon 200d is it has 9 point focus only but in Nikon 5300 it has 45 focus points
    4) canon 200d is small and has a good grip in your hand. To be frank it feels like I am holding a leather thing rather than a camera

Check my facebook page ‘coookmeg’ for videos shot on this camera. I have been using this for last 1 month. It gives really good quality HD videos and I am glad that I took this piece for vlogging.
Only down side with this DSLR is, we cant record in different aspect ratios like 1:1, 3:2 etc. However you can manage the same in a good video editing tool. I recommend this for some one looking for a good value for the money they spend.

Great image for beginner photographers. Got it while on sale and haven’t regretted buying it. Came with strap and one battery, but I’d recommend buying a SD Card and additional batteries so you never miss a shot. Arrived safely and quickly

This is an upper entry level dslr and not a dslr only for the beginners. Though, at this price range, this is one of the best dslr available. Good low light photography as well

    Pros :

    – launched in 2017 with digic 7 processor
    – extremely light weight
    – handy
    – easy interface for anyone who’s a first timer
    – good battery life
    – great colour production, an advantage of canon
    – great audio output quality
    – could be used by beginners as well as semi pros
    – cost effective
    – the touch screen is exceptional. Allows the feel of a smartphone
    – Bluetooth and wifi nfc is extremely smooth

    – lower focus points as compared to Nikon

Awesome first DSLR camera. I bought it as my first pro camera to expand what I could do with a camera and I love it. The camera work’s very well and has very few limitations for the great price point. Can do everything I could possibly want.

Camera arrives from the US to Australia in under a week and couldn’t ask for more

Does what Canon marketing says it should do. Produces a fair amount of grain/digital noise when comparing it to the PowerShot A630 sensor (my previous camera). Not sure if that is standard across APS-C models. Can I get a free rubber sensor cleaner thingy?

Before this, I owned a 1300D which was my 1st DSLR and I had a great experience with that camera and highly recommend it. Unfortunately, it met with an accident and now is not in working condition anymore.

If you have a budget of 44k, this is the camera you want to get. Once you have a taste of Dual Pixel CMOS AutoFocus, nothing can come close to it. I was considering the 77D as well but that camera was out of my budget so I settled for the 200D, and I don’t regret my decision because I can get other useful accessories and a new lens with the money saved.

    -Dual Pixel CMOS AutoFocus
    -Super Compact
    -Articulating Touch Screen
    -DIGIC 7 image processor
    -WiFi NFC Bluetooth
-Excellent image quality and video quality

-After using the 1300D, the 200D feels noticeably smaller in the hand and perhaps less substantial to hold.
-In-built flash is smaller than the more regular-sized DSLRs

If you are thinking of buying your 1st DSLR and prefer Canon and have a budget of 25k, go for the 1300D as I did. However, if you have 45k as your budget, the 200D is definitely worth it.

    I bought canon 200D 1 week before
Good quality, right now battery life is extremely good, even after oneday use it doesn’t come low, it is better to use with 55-250mm lens, then only you can realize the quality of this product. Before using this product read the instructions and safety precautions

I was waiting for a camera like this that had all the best features Canon has to offer in an affordable compact package. I sold my semi pro 7D mk2 to buy this and am happy for it. Of course I miss the advanced features of the 7D mk2 but this little camera is small enough to take anywhere without looking like a photo geek and has a few features not found on the 7D mk2 like flip out touch screen and WiFi/Bluetooth. It may lack durability and has fairly unexciting autofocus but the features packed into this upgraded version are enough to keep you from spending big bucks on the 80D or on another system like Fujifilm.
If you are considering the 80D but can’t afford it right now and you are willing to work around not having a headphone jack this is a good alternative.
You might like shooting in Live View mode all the time if you’re so inclined and have become accustomed to your smartphones functionality.
With touch shutter, touch focus and the best connectivity yet, it’s a joy to use.
