I needed a new camera, and before the 90D was hesitant on a Canon. I have EOS glass, and didn’t want to replace it, but didn’t want to pay >2K for a camera that could do what I wanted.

Good for people like me with big hands.
Best of both worlds mirrored and mirrorless.
    Good ergonomics for controls
24 fps video shooting available with latest firmware update
    Wireless photo transfer
Digic 8 means I am back to shooting in JPEG instead of RAW. Digic 8 does a good job and is tailored to the camera, so it’s saved me a lot of post-processing time.

My old telephoto lens is not good enough for this camera, so I need a new one. But that’s not really the cameras fault
Need to use in “mirrorless” mode if tracking fast moving subjects (not sure if this a dislike or a quirk)

Don’t forget to buy an extra battery pack (LP-E6N) and a decent SD card

The camera is petty good..I was using a 80d before this…this is quite advanced..
It can be considered as an alternative to full frame because the high iso is much better than previous generation aps-c cameras
It will be apt for most situations
An all rounder package and probably the best aps-c camera..I think it’s better than the Sony 6000 series completely except the fact that it does not have animal eye tracking focus
    1. Great package
    2. Very fast auto focus
    3. Brilliant battery life

    1. Quite bulky
    2. Has the same old conventional design
    3. The iso noise is there a bit

Do consider it for most purposes..
My advice- as of now canon doesn’t have decent mirrorless cameras at this price…so you can consider this and then buy a mirror less camera later when it’s sure that what canon is launching in the future
